Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Effective 17 August 2026
Welcome to that dream.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of that dream-operated websites, applications and services, including Profiles, Routes, Rooms, Nexus, discovery features and other features that we make available (collectively, the "Service").
The Service is operated by Aiden Fan, operating that dream, from Hong Kong.
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms an important part of your relationship with the Service.
1. Who can use that dream
You must be at least 13 years old to use that dream.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian where that permission is required by applicable law. Your parent or guardian should review these Terms with you.
If applicable law requires a higher minimum age for a particular feature or activity, that higher age applies to that feature or activity.
that dream is not directed to children under 13.
You may not use the Service if:
- applicable law prohibits you from doing so;
- we previously terminated or permanently suspended your account for a serious violation and have not authorized you to return; or
- your use would otherwise violate these Terms or applicable law.
2. Your account
Some features require an account.
You are responsible for maintaining access to and the security of the Google, Apple, or other supported account you use to authenticate to that dream.
You agree not to:
- access another person's account without authorization;
- impersonate another person or organization in a misleading or harmful way;
- create accounts to evade an active suspension or termination;
- obtain accounts or access through deceptive or unauthorized means; or
- interfere with account security.
If you believe someone has gained unauthorized access to your account, contact us at inquiriesthatdream@gmail.com.
3. Usernames
Usernames are generally made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Having a username does not give you ownership of a trademark, name, identity, or other right represented by that username.
We may reclaim, rename, restrict, or release a username where reasonably necessary, including because of:
- impersonation;
- infringement of intellectual-property rights;
- fraud or abuse;
- misleading representation;
- legal requirements;
- prolonged account inactivity; or
- technical or service-management needs.
Where practical, we will consider the circumstances before reclaiming an actively and legitimately used username.
4. Your content
that dream lets users create, upload and make available material such as:
- images;
- Routes;
- Rooms;
- Nexus content;
- titles;
- descriptions and writing;
- Signals and connections;
- atmosphere, motif, color and other creative metadata;
- Profile information; and
- other material made available through the Service.
We refer to these materials collectively as "User Content."
You keep ownership
You retain ownership of your User Content.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of your images, writing, Routes, Rooms, or other User Content to that dream.
However, we need certain permissions from you to technically operate the Service. Those permissions are described below.
5. Rights you must have to upload content
You may upload User Content only when:
- you created or own it;
- you have permission from the relevant rights holder;
- you have a license that permits your use;
- the content is in the public domain; or
- your use is otherwise permitted under applicable law.
You must comply with the conditions of any permission or license on which you rely, including attribution requirements where applicable.
You must not upload User Content that infringes another person's:
- copyright;
- trademark;
- privacy rights;
- publicity or personality rights; or
- other intellectual-property or legal rights.
Simply finding an image on another website, search engine, social network, image platform, or other online source does not necessarily mean you have permission to upload it to that dream.
Providing attribution or naming the original creator does not by itself give you permission to use copyrighted material.
If you rely on permission, a license, public-domain status, or an applicable legal exception, you are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with it. We may ask for relevant information when reasonably necessary to investigate a rights dispute.
6. License you give to that dream
You keep ownership of your User Content, but you give that dream the permissions reasonably necessary to operate and promote the Service.
When you upload or otherwise provide User Content, you grant Aiden Fan, operating that dream, a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- host;
- store;
- reproduce;
- cache;
- encode;
- compress;
- resize;
- crop or generate thumbnails and other technical versions;
- display;
- transmit;
- distribute;
- make available; and
- otherwise technically process
your User Content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, improve and provide that dream.
For User Content that you make Unlisted or Discoverable, this license also permits that dream to feature, display and reproduce that content in reasonable promotional materials for that dream, including:
- that dream-operated websites;
- landing pages;
- official that dream social-media accounts;
- product previews;
- demonstrations;
- editorial showcases; and
- materials explaining or promoting the Service.
Where practical, we may identify or attribute the relevant creator when featuring User Content.
This license is non-exclusive, which means you remain free to use and license your content elsewhere.
This license is royalty-free, which means that dream does not owe you payment merely because the Service hosts, displays, recommends or promotes your User Content in the ways described above.
Private content
User Content set to Private will not be intentionally used in public promotional materials.
We may still technically host, process, resize, cache, back up and otherwise handle Private content as necessary to provide and secure the Service.
Unlisted content
Unlisted content is not private.
Unlisted content may remain reachable through mechanisms provided by the Service, including direct links, Signals, connected Routes or Rooms, or other intended navigation paths.
Unlisted content may also be featured or promoted by that dream under the license above.
If you do not want User Content to be publicly surfaced or used in public promotion, use the Private visibility setting where available.
Discoverable content
Discoverable content may be displayed through discovery, recommendations, search, Profiles, Signals, Routes, promotional surfaces and other public areas of the Service.
7. No generative-AI training license
The license you give that dream under these Terms does not give that dream permission to use your User Content to train generative artificial-intelligence models.
that dream does not currently use User Content to train generative AI models.
If we ever want to introduce materially different AI-training practices, we will not treat the license above as automatic permission to do so. We would need to establish an appropriate separate basis and provide any notice, choice, or permission required for that use.
8. AI-generated content
AI-generated and AI-assisted content may currently be uploaded to that dream, provided that:
- you have the necessary rights to upload it;
- it does not violate these Terms;
- it does not violate applicable law; and
- it does not infringe the rights of others.
that dream intends to require appropriate identification of AI-generated content as related product functionality develops.
Until such identification functionality is implemented, you should not falsely represent AI-generated content as having been created through a materially different process where doing so would mislead others.
We may introduce labels, metadata, disclosure requirements, or other rules for AI-generated content in the future.
9. Rights of other users
Making User Content public on that dream does not automatically give other users ownership of it or a license to reuse it outside the Service.
Unless the creator, rights holder, applicable license, or law says otherwise, other users may use public User Content only as necessary to normally access, view, navigate, link to, or interact with it through that dream.
The fact that content can be viewed publicly does not mean it is free of copyright or other rights.
If you want to reuse another person's User Content outside that dream, you are responsible for determining whether you have permission to do so.
10. Prohibited content and conduct
You may not use that dream to create, upload, distribute, facilitate, or promote content or conduct that is unlawful or seriously harmful.
This includes, where applicable:
- child sexual abuse or exploitation material;
- sexual exploitation of minors;
- non-consensual intimate imagery;
- credible threats of violence;
- targeted harassment or unlawful stalking;
- fraudulent or deceptive schemes;
- malicious impersonation;
- malware or malicious code;
- unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
- spam or abusive automated activity;
- content that unlawfully exposes another person's private information;
- content that infringes intellectual-property rights;
- content whose publication is otherwise unlawful; or
- activity intended to circumvent enforcement of these Terms.
You also may not intentionally:
- disrupt or damage the Service;
- bypass security or access controls;
- probe or exploit vulnerabilities without authorization;
- use automated systems to scrape or collect substantial amounts of Service or user data without permission;
- manipulate recommendations, engagement, reports or other Service systems through deceptive or abusive means;
- interfere with other users' use of the Service; or
- use that dream to facilitate unlawful activity.
These Terms establish baseline legal and safety restrictions.
We may introduce separate Community Guidelines addressing more detailed community, curation and content standards. Those guidelines may become part of the rules governing use of the Service once published.
11. Content moderation
that dream hosts User Content and does not necessarily review every item before or after it is published.
We may review User Content manually when reasonably necessary, including in response to:
- user reports;
- copyright complaints;
- legal notices;
- security concerns;
- suspected abuse;
- moderation concerns; or
- operational issues.
The Service may also use technical or automated systems to help with functions such as:
- access control;
- security;
- spam or abuse detection;
- content organization;
- recommendation and ranking; and
- identifying technical or policy issues.
Automated systems may assist decisions, but we may use human review where appropriate and reasonably practicable.
12. Actions we may take
When we reasonably believe that User Content, an account, or activity violates these Terms, our policies, applicable law, or creates a meaningful safety or security risk, we may take proportionate action.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- issuing a warning;
- reducing or removing content from discovery;
- restricting distribution;
- changing access to content where legally appropriate;
- removing User Content;
- disabling particular features;
- temporarily suspending an account;
- restricting an account;
- terminating an account; or
- taking another reasonably appropriate measure.
We may also take action where required by law or a valid legal order.
We will consider factors such as the nature, severity, frequency and context of the issue where appropriate.
We do not promise that every violation will result in the same action.
13. Moderation notice and appeals
Where appropriate and where legally required, we will provide information explaining a moderation decision, such as:
- what action was taken;
- the general reason for the action; and
- which rule or legal basis was relevant.
We may limit information where disclosure would:
- create a safety or security risk;
- interfere with an investigation;
- expose another person's confidential information;
- facilitate abuse or circumvention;
- violate law; or
- otherwise be inappropriate under the circumstances.
If you believe we made a moderation or account decision in error, you may request review by contacting:
Use a subject such as Moderation Appeal and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant account, content and decision.
We will review appropriate appeals in good faith and provide any additional complaint or redress mechanisms required by applicable law.
14. Reports
Users and other people may report content or conduct that they reasonably believe violates:
- these Terms;
- future Community Guidelines;
- intellectual-property rights;
- privacy or safety rights; or
- applicable law.
Reports must be made in good faith.
You must not knowingly submit false, fraudulent, abusive, or repetitive reports intended to harass another user or manipulate moderation.
We may request additional information where necessary to evaluate a report.
15. Copyright and intellectual property
We respect copyright and other intellectual-property rights.
If you believe User Content infringes your copyright, you may submit a copyright complaint using the copyright process provided by that dream.
We intend to maintain a separate Copyright & DMCA Policy explaining:
- how copyright owners can submit notices;
- information required in a notice;
- how affected users may respond;
- counter-notice procedures where applicable;
- our designated copyright contact or agent; and
- other relevant procedures.
Where applicable, we respond to valid copyright notices in accordance with law.
Repeat infringers
that dream has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright or other intellectual-property rights.
We may also suspend or terminate accounts for a single particularly serious or deliberate infringement where appropriate.
In determining appropriate action, we may consider factors such as:
- valid infringement notices;
- counter-notices;
- retractions;
- court decisions;
- the nature of the alleged infringement;
- repeated conduct; and
- other relevant circumstances.
Nothing in these Terms requires us to treat every allegation as conclusively establishing infringement.
16. that dream intellectual property
Except for User Content and third-party material, the Service and its original elements may contain intellectual property owned by or licensed to that dream.
This may include:
- the that dream name and branding;
- original interface designs;
- software;
- graphics;
- text;
- icons;
- logos;
- visual systems; and
- other original Service materials.
Using the Service does not transfer ownership of that intellectual property to you.
Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to access and use the Service for its intended purposes.
You may not copy, sell, license, exploit, reverse engineer, or commercially reuse protected parts of the Service except where we give permission or applicable law permits it.
17. Recommendations and discovery
that dream may use automated systems to organize, rank and recommend content.
Recommendations may consider signals such as:
- content metadata;
- motifs and atmosphere;
- your expressed preferences;
- content you save or visit;
- recommendation taste signals;
- relationships between Routes and Rooms;
- recency;
- relevance;
- diversity or randomness; and
- other signals intended to improve discovery.
The relative importance of these signals may vary depending on the feature and context.
Recommendation systems are intended to help people discover content and do not guarantee that any particular Route, Room or creator will receive visibility, traffic or placement.
We may change recommendation methods as the Service develops.
18. Service changes
that dream is an evolving service.
We may add, change, redesign, test, suspend, replace, or discontinue features.
This may include changes to:
- interfaces;
- discovery;
- recommendations;
- Routes and Rooms;
- visibility options;
- storage;
- creation tools;
- account features; or
- other parts of the Service.
Where a change materially affects users' contractual rights or access to important functionality, we will provide reasonable notice where practical and where required by law.
We do not guarantee that every current feature will remain available permanently.
19. Availability and experimental nature of the Service
that dream is an independently operated and developing online service.
The Service may occasionally experience:
- downtime;
- bugs;
- incomplete functionality;
- synchronization delays;
- failed uploads;
- interrupted access;
- data-processing delays;
- compatibility issues; or
- other technical problems.
We work to maintain the Service, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Features may also be released in experimental, preview, beta, or developing form.
Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
20. Keep your own copies
Do not use that dream as the only copy or backup of important content.
You are responsible for keeping original or backup copies of images, writing and other material that you do not want to lose.
Although we take reasonable measures to operate and protect the Service, technical failures, user actions, moderation, account deletion, provider failures or other events may result in content becoming unavailable.
Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
21. Inactive accounts
We may suspend, archive, reclaim identifiers from, or eventually delete accounts that have been inactive for an extended period where reasonably necessary to operate the Service.
We do not currently intend to routinely delete accounts merely because of short-term inactivity.
Before deleting an account solely because of prolonged inactivity, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practical using available account contact information.
Different action may be appropriate where an account must be suspended or terminated for security, legal, abuse, or Terms-enforcement reasons.
22. Account suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account where reasonably appropriate, including for:
- serious or repeated violations of these Terms;
- serious or repeated infringement of others' rights;
- unlawful activity;
- abuse or manipulation of the Service;
- threats to users or Service security;
- evasion of previous enforcement;
- legal requirements; or
- prolonged inactivity as described above.
Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal.
In urgent circumstances, we may need to act without advance notice, including where necessary to address:
- immediate safety risks;
- security incidents;
- serious abuse;
- legal requirements; or
- ongoing infringement.
23. Ending your use of that dream
You may stop using the Service at any time.
You may also delete your account through the available account controls.
Account deletion is intended to remove your account and associated app-controlled data, including, as applicable:
- Profile;
- Nexus;
- Routes;
- Rooms;
- uploaded media;
- private Field Notes;
- saved content;
- preferences;
- recommendation information; and
- authentication account.
Deletion may require processing across multiple technical systems and may not occur instantaneously everywhere.
Provider-managed backups, technical logs, legally retained information, or copies independently made by other people may persist as described in our Privacy Policy.
End of the content license
When User Content is deleted from our active Service, the license you granted us for that User Content ends except to the extent reasonably necessary:
- to complete deletion;
- for temporary technical caching or backups;
- to comply with law;
- to resolve disputes or enforce rights;
- for security or abuse-prevention records; or
- where a separate legal right or permission permits continued use.
We will not intentionally continue using deleted User Content in new promotional materials solely under the license in Section 6.
24. External services and links
that dream may contain links to websites, social profiles, services, or content operated by other people or organizations.
For example, Profiles may contain links to Instagram or TikTok.
We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their:
- content;
- availability;
- privacy practices;
- security;
- accuracy; or
- terms.
Your use of an external service is governed by your relationship with that service.
25. Feedback
We appreciate feedback about that dream.
If you voluntarily provide ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or other feedback about the Service, you give us permission to use that feedback to develop, improve and operate that dream without owing you compensation.
This does not give us ownership of unrelated User Content that happens to accompany your feedback.
Do not send confidential third-party information as feedback unless you have permission to do so.
26. No paid service currently
that dream does not currently charge users for ordinary access to the Service, and the current Service does not provide paid subscriptions or in-app purchases.
We may introduce donations, paid features, subscriptions, or other transactions in the future.
Before or when such functionality is introduced, we will provide any additional terms, pricing information, cancellation rights, disclosures, or consent mechanisms required by applicable law.
These Terms do not authorize us to charge you for a future paid feature without the required agreement or authorization.
27. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, that dream is provided "as is" and "as available."
We do not guarantee that:
- the Service will always be available;
- every feature will operate without errors;
- User Content will always remain available;
- recommendations will always be accurate or relevant;
- content provided by other users is accurate, lawful, safe, or appropriate; or
- every security threat or Terms violation will be detected.
User Content is primarily provided by users, not by that dream. Users are responsible for the User Content they submit.
We do not endorse User Content merely because it appears on the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits warranties, guarantees, rights, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
28. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, these Terms do not exclude or limit liability for matters that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
Subject to those mandatory rights and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, that dream and its operator will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable as a result of our breach of these Terms.
We are not responsible for loss caused solely by:
- your violation of these Terms;
- your failure to maintain your own copies of content;
- unauthorized conduct by another user that we could not reasonably prevent;
- third-party services outside our control; or
- events outside our reasonable control,
except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.
For consumers in jurisdictions that provide mandatory statutory rights, including applicable consumer protections in the EEA, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, or elsewhere, those mandatory rights remain unaffected.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude responsibility for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, willful misconduct, gross negligence where such liability cannot be excluded, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or another category of liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
29. Your responsibility for violations
You are responsible for your own use of the Service and User Content.
If your unlawful or unauthorized conduct causes a third party to make a claim against that dream, you may be responsible for the consequences to the extent provided by applicable law.
For ordinary consumers, this section does not impose an unlimited obligation to indemnify that dream or waive protections provided by mandatory consumer law.
If we later offer business or commercial accounts, separate business terms may establish additional responsibilities for those users.
30. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information.
The Privacy Policy also explains privacy rights and how to contact us about personal information.
Using the Service is subject to the Privacy Policy where applicable.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy serve different purposes: these Terms govern use of the Service, while the Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information.
31. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service or applicable law changes.
For minor changes, such as corrections, clarifications, formatting improvements, or changes that do not materially reduce your rights, we may update the posted Terms and effective date as appropriate.
For material changes affecting your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practical and where required by applicable law.
Notice may be provided through:
- the Service;
- the website;
- account email; or
- another appropriate method.
If a material change requires affirmative consent under applicable law, we will request that consent.
Otherwise, continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect may constitute acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.
32. Governing law
These Terms and your relationship with that dream are generally governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles that would require application of another jurisdiction's law.
However, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections or other rights that apply to you under the law of your country or region and cannot lawfully be waived by contract.
In particular, if you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose mandatory law gives you protections notwithstanding a foreign governing-law clause, those protections remain available to you.
33. Disputes
If you have a dispute with that dream, we encourage you to contact us first at:
We will try to understand and resolve legitimate concerns in good faith.
These Terms do not require mandatory private arbitration and do not contain a class-action waiver.
Subject to mandatory rights you may have under applicable law, disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be brought before courts with lawful jurisdiction.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from using a court, regulator, supervisory authority, out-of-court dispute mechanism, or other remedy available under mandatory applicable law.
34. No waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we permanently waive the right to enforce it.
A waiver applies only when we clearly make that waiver.
35. Severability
If a court or other competent authority determines that part of these Terms is invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or modified only to the extent necessary where legally possible.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
36. Assignment and transfer
You may not transfer your account to another person in a way that circumvents these Terms or account-security requirements.
If that dream is reorganized, transferred, or succeeded by another operator in the future, these Terms and the operation of the Service may be transferred as part of that transaction where permitted by law.
Where applicable law requires notice or gives you termination rights in connection with such a transfer, we will respect those requirements.
37. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement governing your use of the Service.
As additional policies are introduced, such as Community Guidelines or the Copyright & DMCA Policy, those policies may supplement these Terms for the matters they cover.
If a supplemental policy conflicts with these Terms, the more specific provision will govern the specific subject unless stated otherwise or prohibited by law.
