Copyright & DMCA Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 17 August 2026

that dream respects copyright and other intellectual-property rights. This Copyright & DMCA Policy explains the rules that apply to copyrighted material on that dream, how copyright owners may report alleged infringement, how affected users may respond, and how that dream handles repeat infringement.

The Service is operated by Aiden Fan, operating that dream, from Hong Kong.

This policy supplements the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not separately defined here have the meanings given to them in the Terms of Service where applicable.

1. Copyright and that dream

that dream is a platform where users can create and share Routes, Rooms, images, writing, metadata, and other User Content.

Users retain ownership of their User Content. However, users may upload or publish content only when they have the rights or legal permission necessary to do so.

You may upload content when, for example:

Finding an image, photograph, artwork, video, writing, or other material on a website, search engine, social network, image platform, archive, or other online source does not by itself mean that you have permission to upload it to that dream.

Providing attribution or naming the original creator also does not by itself give you permission to use copyrighted material.

Users are responsible for ensuring that the User Content they submit complies with copyright law, the Terms of Service, and this policy.

2. Copyright complaints

If you believe that material available through that dream infringes copyright that you own or are authorized to enforce, you may submit a copyright complaint to us.

that dream accepts copyright complaints from rights holders regardless of their location.

For complaints intended to constitute a notice under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), please provide the information described in Section 4.

Copyright complaints that do not invoke the DMCA may still be reviewed under our Terms of Service, this policy, and applicable law.

Please send copyright notices and inquiries to:

Copyright & DMCA Contact Designated Agent: Aiden Fan Email: inquiriesthatdream@gmail.com Location: Hong Kong

The designated agent's complete mailing address and telephone number will be published as required in connection with that dream's formal DMCA designated-agent registration.

3. Before submitting a copyright complaint

Please consider whether the use you are reporting may be authorized by:

that dream does not determine ownership merely because one person submits a complaint.

Please submit copyright complaints in good faith and provide enough information for us to understand and locate the allegedly infringing material.

4. DMCA takedown notices

If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe material on that dream infringes the owner's copyright, you may send us a written DMCA notice.

To be effective under the DMCA, the notice should contain substantially the following information:

  1. Your signature. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If your notice concerns multiple copyrighted works at a single online location, you may provide a representative list where permitted by law.
  3. Identification of the allegedly infringing material. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, together with information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it. Where possible, provide the exact that dream URL, Route, Room, Profile, image, or other location containing the material.
  4. Your contact information. Information reasonably sufficient for us to contact you, such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. Good-faith statement. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Accuracy and authority statement. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Send the completed notice to:

Aiden Fan — Designated Agent for that dream Email: inquiriesthatdream@gmail.com

When the formal designated-agent registration is completed, the registered mailing address and telephone number will also be maintained with the U.S. Copyright Office and published through the appropriate that dream copyright contact information.

5. What happens after we receive a notice

When we receive a copyright complaint, we may review it to determine whether it contains sufficient information and whether action is appropriate.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

For notices that substantially comply with the DMCA and concern material eligible for the applicable DMCA process, that dream intends to act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the identified material where required.

We may preserve information relating to the complaint where reasonably necessary to process the dispute, maintain our repeat-infringer policy, establish or defend legal claims, prevent abuse, comply with law, or maintain appropriate legal and security records.

Removal from that dream does not necessarily remove copies independently stored, cached, indexed, or reproduced by third parties outside our control.

6. Notice to the affected user

When material is removed or disabled in response to a copyright complaint, we may notify the user who provided the material.

Where appropriate, the notice may include:

We may withhold or limit information where disclosure would be prohibited by law, create a material safety or security risk, expose information we are required to protect, or otherwise be inappropriate under the circumstances.

7. DMCA counter-notifications

If material you submitted was removed or disabled as a result of a DMCA notice and you believe the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification.

A DMCA counter-notification should contain substantially the following information:

  1. Your signature. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the removed material. Identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  3. Statement under penalty of perjury. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  4. Your legal contact information. Your name, address, and telephone number.
  5. Consent to jurisdiction. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States Federal District Court as required by 17 U.S.C. §512(g). If your address is outside the United States, this generally requires consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which the service provider may be found.
  6. Acceptance of service. A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original infringement notice, or that person's agent.

Counter-notifications should be sent to:

Aiden Fan — Designated Agent for that dream Email: inquiriesthatdream@gmail.com

8. Important information about counter-notifications

A counter-notification is a legal communication.

Do not submit one merely because you disagree with a moderation decision or want content restored.

By submitting a DMCA counter-notification, you may be required to provide your real name, address, telephone number, and other legally required information.

If we receive a counter-notification that substantially complies with the applicable DMCA requirements, we may forward it to the person who submitted the original copyright notice or that person's agent.

This means that information contained in your counter-notification, including legally required contact information, may be disclosed to the original complaining party as part of the DMCA process.

If you are unsure about your rights or the consequences of submitting a counter-notification, you may wish to obtain independent legal advice before submitting one.

9. Restoration after a counter-notification

When that dream receives a valid DMCA counter-notification, we may provide a copy to the person who submitted the original infringement notice and inform them that the removed material may be restored.

Subject to the DMCA and other applicable law, we may restore the material not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notification unless our designated agent first receives notice that the original complaining party has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material.

Restoration is not guaranteed merely because a counter-notification is submitted.

Material may remain unavailable for another independent reason, including where it:

10. Retractions and resolved complaints

A copyright owner or authorized representative may contact us to retract or withdraw a previous copyright complaint.

Where a complaint is withdrawn, we may consider restoring the affected material if:

A retracted complaint may be taken into account when evaluating an account under our repeat-infringer policy.

We may retain a record of the complaint and its retraction where reasonably necessary for legal, security, dispute-resolution, or enforcement purposes.

11. Repeat infringers

that dream has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers of copyright or other intellectual-property rights.

We may maintain records of copyright complaints and enforcement actions associated with an account for this purpose.

We do not necessarily treat every allegation as conclusively establishing infringement.

When evaluating repeat infringement, we may consider relevant circumstances, including:

A single particularly serious or deliberate infringement may result in suspension or termination where appropriate.

Repeated credible infringement, particularly after warnings or previous removals, may result in stronger restrictions or account termination.

Users whose accounts are terminated for repeat infringement may not create or use another account to evade that termination without our permission.

12. No automatic copyright strike rule

that dream does not currently operate a rigid automatic system in which every copyright allegation counts as an irreversible strike.

Copyright disputes can involve mistakes, misidentification, legal exceptions, retractions, counter-notifications, and other circumstances.

We therefore evaluate repeat infringement based on the available information and circumstances rather than treating every complaint as automatic proof of infringement.

This does not prevent us from acting quickly or terminating an account where infringement is sufficiently serious, repeated, deliberate, or otherwise warrants that action.

13. False or misleading notices

Copyright notices and counter-notifications are legal communications.

Do not knowingly submit false, fraudulent, or materially misleading copyright notices or counter-notifications.

Under applicable law, a person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may face legal consequences.

that dream may also restrict reports or accounts that abuse copyright procedures to harass users, suppress lawful content, impersonate rights holders, or manipulate the Service.

Nothing in this section is intended to discourage legitimate good-faith copyright complaints or counter-notifications.

14. Other intellectual-property complaints

This policy primarily addresses copyright.

Complaints involving other intellectual-property rights, such as trademarks, may require different information and legal analysis.

You may contact:

inquiriesthatdream@gmail.com

with a clear explanation of the right involved, the material at issue, your relationship to the relevant rights holder, and information sufficient for us to investigate the complaint.

Submitting a trademark or other intellectual-property complaint does not convert it into a DMCA notice.

15. Non-U.S. copyright complaints

that dream is operated from Hong Kong and may be used by people in different countries and regions.

The DMCA procedures described in this policy concern United States copyright law.

However, copyright owners outside the United States may also report alleged infringement to us.

We may review non-U.S. copyright complaints under:

We may request additional information where necessary to understand the rights claimed and the legal basis for a request.

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that may exist under mandatory applicable law.

16. Standard technical measures

Where applicable, that dream intends to accommodate and not interfere with standard technical measures within the meaning of 17 U.S.C. §512(i).

This does not mean that every copyright-identification technology or proprietary rights-management system automatically qualifies as a standard technical measure under the DMCA.

We may evaluate relevant technologies and legal requirements as the Service develops.

17. No general permission to reuse public content

Content being publicly visible on that dream does not mean it is free of copyright.

Unless the creator, rights holder, applicable license, or law provides otherwise, viewing User Content on that dream does not give you permission to:

If you want to reuse another person's content outside that dream, you are responsible for determining whether you have permission.

18. Public, Unlisted, and Private content

Copyright obligations apply regardless of a content item's visibility.

Making content Private or Unlisted does not give a user permission to store or upload material they do not have the right to use.

If allegedly infringing material is identified through a valid complaint, that dream may take appropriate action even if the material is not currently Discoverable.

Unlisted content is not Private. It may remain accessible through intended Service mechanisms such as direct links, Signals, connected Routes or Rooms, or other navigation paths.

Private content is restricted through the Service's access controls, but it remains subject to these Terms and applicable law.

19. Content removal and related surfaces

Where that dream removes or disables material for copyright reasons, we may also take reasonable steps to stop actively serving associated copies or representations through our own systems.

Depending on the affected material, this may include:

Technical caches, backups, provider-controlled records, or copies made independently by third parties may persist for some period after removal.

We do not promise that removal from that dream will erase copies from third-party search engines, archives, devices, websites, browser caches, or other systems outside our control.

20. Privacy and copyright reports

Copyright complaints and counter-notifications may contain personal information.

We process that information as reasonably necessary to:

Information may be disclosed to the user who uploaded the affected material, the complaining party, service providers, advisers, authorities, courts, or others where reasonably necessary for the copyright process or required by law.

In particular, a DMCA counter-notification may be forwarded to the person who submitted the original notice.

Our Privacy Policy provides additional information about how that dream handles personal information.

21. No legal advice

Information on this page is provided to explain that dream's copyright procedures.

It is not legal advice and does not determine whether particular material infringes copyright or whether a particular use is legally permitted.

Copyright law can vary by jurisdiction and can depend heavily on the circumstances.

If you are uncertain about your legal rights or obligations, consider obtaining advice from a qualified legal professional.

22. Changes to this policy

We may update this Copyright & DMCA Policy as the Service, our copyright procedures, or applicable legal requirements change.

The version and effective date at the top identify the current policy.

Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate Service or website notice where practical and where required by applicable law.

23. Copyright & DMCA contact
